Conditions


Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Nerve injury associated with diabetes which commonly begins in the feet and legs or the hands and arms.


Post-herpetic Neuralgia: Pain due to injury to the peripheral nerves occurring near where shingles has healed .


Trigeminal Neuralgia: A disorder of the trigeminal nerve marked by sudden, severe pain on the face, typically near the nose, lips, eyes, or ears.


Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. Repeated motions performed in the course of work or other daily activities can result in bursitis and tendonitis.


Phantom Limb: Condition in which people who have lost a body part feel pain in the missing limb caused by nerves at the site of the amputation and brain activity.


Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy: Also called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), it results from an injury to a nerve or soft tissue that does not follow the normal healing pattern .


Cancer Pain: Caused by tumors that put pressure on nerve. Cancer treatments can also cause injury to the nerves.


HIV Pain: Caused by disruption anywhere in the nerve pathway, sometimes resulting in sensitivity to touch.


Sciatica: Caused by an injury to the sciatic nerve in the lower back and legs often due to a slipped or ruptured disc between the bones of the spinal column.


Neck and Back Pain: Caused by injury or back surgery in which there is a disruption of the spinal cord.
May also be due to Syringomyelia.
