- Alliance for Aging Research
Alliance for Aging Research is the nation's leading citizen advocacy organization for improving the health and independence of Americans as they age. The Alliance was founded in 1986 to promote medical and behavioral research into the aging process. Since then, and as the explosion of the Senior Boom approaches, the Alliance has become the voice for Baby Boomer health by developing, implementing and advocating programs in research, professional and consumer health education and public policy.

Founded in 1997, the American Pain Foundation is an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization serving people with pain through information, advocacy, and support. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with pain by raising public awareness, providing practical information, promoting research, and advocating to remove barriers and increase access to effective pain management.

The Canadian Pain Coalition is a partnership of patient pain groups, health professionals who care for people in pain, and scientists studying better ways of treating pain.
- Chronic Illness Initiative
The Chronic Illness Initiative (CII) provides access to higher education for students disabled by a chronic illness. Students who struggle with illnesses that unpredictably increase and decrease in severity such as chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus or illnesses with frequent hospitalizations such as cancer or heart disease, may have found it difficult, if not impossible, to meet the requirements of a conventional college program.

EM Painline is a resource for those striving to improve the management of pain in our emergency departments. Our goal is to close the gap between existing knowledge and daily pain management practice. By improving access to current research literature pertaining to emergency medicine practice as well as to other tools and resources, and by building a network of emergency medicine researchers, practitioners and educators dedicated to this goal, we will move toward achieving a truly "painless" Emergency Department.
- End-of-Life Nursing Consortium
The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) project is a national education initiative to improve end-of-life care in the United States. The project provides undergraduate and graduate nursing faculty, CE providers, staff development educators, specialty nurses in pediatrics, oncology, critical care and geriatrics, and other nurses with training in end-of-life care so they can teach this essential information to nursing students and practicing nurses.

Faith in Action is an interfaith volunteer caregiving initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Local Faith in Action programs bring together volunteers from many faith to work together to care for their neighbors who have long-term health needs.
