This witty statement says a lot. Think about it. If you do not take care of your body, you will eventually have no where to live. But, through the process of neglect you will endure pain and suffering. We tend to take our health for granted until we lose it. We believe that we are indestructible. Once we experience health problems, we become more cautious, at least at first. There are many of us that believe it is more important to achieve than to take care of ourselves. We equate our personal value with the amount of work that we can accomplish in a day. There is no regard for our physical well being...that is until we can no longer function.
The idea of pacing ourselves is an unrecognizable concept. Maybe this is a good time to begin to appreciate your body, realize that you are the one that must take care of it. Our pain has created many changes in our life, however, we do not make the appropriate changes to accommodate our physical ability. At day’s end we wonder why we feel so bad. It is time to begin a program to protect your permanent home...your body.
